How much discomfort is associated with hair transplant?

How much discomfort is associated with hair transplant?

One of frequently asked questions is the degree of discomfort during and after hair transplant. Generally, many people express little to no pain felt during the procedure. Some mild discomfort is typical as the anesthetic is injected, but once the area is numb there is virtually no pain. Should the numbing medicine wear off during the procedure, more anesthesia is injected to make the patient comfortable. Surgical hair restoration actually results in less operative discomfort than many other surgical procedures. The first night following the procedure, medication is prescribed to relieve any discomfort if necessary. Most people do not feel pain or discomfort one or two days following the procedure and can return to work right away. In general most people return to their normal routine after one week following the procedure.

At Meshkin Medical hair restoration clinics, Dr. Meshkin uses combinations of medications and newest techniques to make the procedure very comfortable and almost pain free. Most of the clients are either watching a movie or sleep during the entire procedure. Almost all of his patients are amazed at the level of comfort they experience during this surgery.
